Its range is fairly extensive today with saloons (hello Ghibli, hello Quattroporte), an SUV (the new Levante) and sports cars such as the GranTurismo and GranCabrio (plus the upcoming Alfieri) to supplement the occasional supercar such as the 2005 MC12.

Stretching even further back you’ll uncover a long list of Biturbo saloons, the classic Bora (almost a supercar), the 3500 GT and more. You’ll also encounter a remarkable racing pedigree that includes one Juan-Manuel Fangio and his 250F – that’s a bona fide Formula One car. Of course, the brand has been passed around over the years, at one point even Citroen was its custodian, but the most bonkers period must be when the folks at De Tomasa held the keys to the marque. Yes them of the Pantera.

Likes: Heritage, legacy, pedigree and many cylinders – usually arranged in a Vee format.

Dislikes: It will never be a Ferrari, now even more so since Ferrari was divorced from the Fiat Chrysler Group.
