Volvo Ocean Race XC60 - Special Edition

In celebration of the Volvo Ocean Race, the Swedish manufacturer has released a special edition of their mid-size SUV, predictably dubbed the Volvo Ocean Race XC60.

Launched this week at the Miami Auto Show this seaworthy Swede is based on the well-known XC60 and receives a few cosmetic updates in the form of special edition badging, unique 18-inch alloy wheels and a striking Ocean Blue II paint job. Inside you can chose your upholstery in either dark or light, complimented by signature orange stitching.

Unfortunately no word as yet if this stylish special edition will reach local shores, but overseas buyers can chose between the T6 Drive-E and T6 AWD drivetrains.

The 2014 Volvo Ocean Race started on October 4 in Alicante, Spain, and will finish on June 27, 2015 in Gothenburg, the Swedish home of Volvo.

The teams are currently stopped over in Cape Town until 19 November with in-port racing scheduled on 15 November.
