This is what a million rand bakkie looks like
Well, without any options you can get the new V6 powered Mercedes-Benz X-Class X350d as ‘cheaply’ as R904,188.00 in Progressive trim. The Power model however will set you back R971,344.00.
We won’t get stuck into the debate on whether or not it’s worth the bucks, just know that for your investment you will be endowed with a wholly Benz (no traces of Nissan here) motor with 190kW and 550Nm – much akin to the unit in the GLE. Now that is nice.
Lynk Co 03 Cyan Racing Concept
Well, it wouldn’t be the news without a concept car, now would it? So here’s this, the Lynk Co 03 Cyan Racing Concept and it is many things, but most notably, well, it’s blue.
It heralds a collaboration between Cyan Racing and the mobility firm, Lynk and Co – a 400kW road car.
"Our ambition as a race team is to reclaim our World Title and explore new ways of automotive performance together with Lynk & Co. We will utilise our experience from past performance road car projects in combination with the vast data that we will gain from the racing programme through thousands and thousands of laps on racing circuits all over the world in extreme conditions." - Christian Dahl, CEO of Cyan Racing.

Is this a Renault Duster single cab bakkie or the next Nissan NP200?
The rumour mill has been set to ‘full churn’ after these images emerged on the internet.
Meet the Dacia Duster with what we like to think of as an inverse mullet – you know, party in front, business at the back. It’s a prototype of Romanian coach builder, Romturingia. A company that clearly couldn’t wait for Renault’s own upcoming Oroch double cab.
We like it, no matter what badge ends up on its nose.
