Toyota South Africa has introduced several specification upgrades for the ever-popular Toyota Fortuner. At a quick glance, 2.8 models receive a dual-zone climate control while the range-topping VX grade inherits a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) with selectable view.
For audiophiles, it also gets an upgrade to the 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system. The on-board satellite navigation has been omitted due to the preferred usage of smartphone apps via the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto functionality.
Safety & Security
All Fortuner models now have an enhanced Smart Entry system with additional security measures.
In addition, VX variants receive additional functionality to the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) system in the form of Blind- Spot Monitoring (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
The colour line-up on the 2.4 and 2.8 models remain unchanged (seven options) but, on VX models, Pearl White is replaced by the new Platinum White Pearl – offering eight exterior hues to choose from.
There are no changes to engine options or specification.
