A newer, sharper Audi R8 has arrived
And it comes in Coupe and Spyder flavours, naturally – appearing more chiselled now than ever before. That’s thanks to a metal skin that looks like it’s been pulled tighter over the aluminium skeleton underneath, finished off with 19-inch alloy hoops in each corner. Too small? How about a lightweight 20-inch option for added aggression? Another option, Audi’s almost obligatory ceramic brake upgrade – for the discerning petrolhead for whom stopping comes second only to acceleration.
Visually, there’s a raft of new additions such as the wider than ever, single frame grille, bonnet-slits a la ur-Quattro. At the rear Audi have opted for an all-new three-part engine cover in plastic or carbon fibre. Hello V10, you Lamborghini-shared devil you. Still an item with much in relation to its Le Mans counterparts.
Essentially, from its ten cylinders power has risen from 397kW to 419kW in base form while the V10 Plus gets 456kW and 580Nm and is good for a 3.2 second 0-100kph sprint. New colours include in Ascari Blue and Kemora Gray. And you can expect to the see new Audi R8 V10 in the metal in mid-2019.
A new year, a new Ford for Ken Block to gym into a khana
And this one is not what you’re expecting – rather a heavily (is there any other way?) modified 1977 Ford F-150 dubbed the Hoonitruck. I could say more, but wouldn’t you rather just behold the 628kW of madness for yourself instead?
