Toyota are finally giving us a 735kW hypercar

Coming off the back of a resounding Le Mans victory, Toyota have confirmed that their GR Super Sport concept will indeed make it to production, and subsequently to our roads. It is based on the winning LMP1 car, the TS050 hybrid with its 2.4 litre V6 petrol engine with companion electric motor.

As a point of reference consider the Ferrari LaFerrari at a meagre 708kW. But with a Toyota badge. And at a time when a new Supra is almost with us too. What a time to be alive, no?

Toyota are also giving us a rash. Wait. No. A RUSH.

Remember the Daihatsu Terios? Well this is Toyota’s version of it, looking like an ‘Avanza Cross’ if you catch our drift.

It’s being teased as a Baby Fortuner, but we’re yet to confirm if it will come in rear or all-wheel drive flavours, or five or seven seats. It will most likely come with Toyota’s 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 77kW and 137Nm.

Lamborghini get the local distributor they deserve in South Africa

We suspect LSM Distributors, the same group responsible for the Porsche and Bentley brands are up to the task as they clearly know a thing or two about purveying premium machinery.

Lamborghini cars were previously imported by the Imperial Group - the same chaps who also brought in the likes of Lotus and previously Bentley, the latter of which was folded into the LSM two years ago with great success.

We predict a similar upturn for the raging bull.

The Volvo S60 Polestar is a sexy beast

It looks like this - the third coming of the Volvo S60, will have what it takes to finally decimate the Teutonic Three. That's right BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz, you've officially been caught sleeping.

The new S60 in general has looks inspired by the entire Volvo range, and quite a lot of Polestar 1 Concept car as well – handsome! But it is this, the flagship Polestar rendition that has us salivating, promising super saloon performance from its T8 TwinEngine hybrid drivetrain.

That’s 310kW to all four wheels. We’re ready.

Suzuki’s new Jimny is a box-shaped heart

Just look at this cute little bastard! Looking like a Lego-rendered Gelandewagen and available in a fruity array of colours, the new Jimny has already won us over.

We have no details as of yet, but we’re already sold, and will naturally take ours in UN-spec White, please.
