South Africa gets 15 more BMW M4 CS

BMW have only recently released (and then promptly sold out) the CS, the slipperiest, rortiest limited edition M4 money can currently buy this side of the hardcore GTS. So what did they do? Import 15 more, naturally. Here for your viewing pleasure is its hit list; a TwinPower turbo-blown inline six cylinder measuring three litres in capacity and equipped with 338kW and 600Nm. So enough. This endows the M4 CS with a sprint to 100kph in 3.9 seconds, a 400m drag in just 12 seconds and a limited top speed of 280kph. Yours for R1,864,350 minus options. If you can get one, that is.

Volvo XC60 lands in Cape Town

And we have prices. But first; the car. The XC60 has been around for a while now, but this new iteration benefits from the Mjolnir-esque styling of its siblings, most notably the larger XC90. It is in a word, stunning. A compact SUV slotting in above the newly launched XC40 in a variety of petrol and diesel options. The exterior and cabin are both updated in line with the new Volvo family, luxuriously appointed and striking when seen on the road. Well done Volvo, you currently have the most handsome range of cars we can think of.

Mercedes-Benz GLC63 S is launched

The mighty Merc GLC and GLC Coupe duo have each been enriched with the power of the Teutonic gods, AMG. Before we get to the silly numbers, know that here lives the obligatory widened track and lower stance of an Affalterbach car. Power and torque, or shock and awe as we will now refer to them are delivered in 375kW and 700Nm sized packages and that means forget that M4 CS from earlier, these brawlers are even quicker at just 3.8 seconds to 100kph. Shew!

Honda have built a Civic Type R bakkie!

Come again? Yes. It is at this point I’m tempted to let the pictures speak for themselves but context will be required. It’s called Project P, was built in the UK and is by default in the running for quickest pickup truck in production – you know, should they decide to produce the silly thing. Which they probably won’t.

What the hell is the Ferrari SP38? And can we have one?

Rather than a UV rating for convertible Italian sportscars, this is in fact a very bespoke Ferrari 388 GTB. It’s no secret that Ferrari do a One-Off series of cars for their clients and this is one of those. We have nothing further to add so by all means, go forth and drool.
