Alfa Romeo Giulia Coupe says go home M4, RS5 and C63 Coupe
This speculative render from Autocar gives us an indication of what Alfa’s upcoming coupe might look like when it is unveiled. Top features will include an F1-derived energy recovery system (ERS) and a pair of engines à la 2.0 litre turbo petrol, as per the Giulia Veloce, and of course the big daddy 2.9 litre V6 of the Quadrifoglio. The flagship is set to deliver 477kW or around 16kW shy of the Ferrari 488. We’re ready for what must be the next GTV.
Next Focus RS set to make 300+ killer-WHATS!?
That’s right, Ford intend on going full hyper hatchback when their new Focus gets its hottest badge. We’re sure the ST model will be special as well but it’s hard to concentrate when the marque are about to endow the humble Focus with the kind of power output just recently seen on a V8 BMW M3. You can apparently thank hybrid tech in part for its boosted performance. There’s something just so wickedly exciting about diverting technology meant for good and using it for something so naughty. Am I right? And by naughty I mean a 0-100kph sprint in 4.3 seconds.
China raises tariffs on USA car exports
The Chinese government are playing tat to USA’s um... Let’s try that again. When the United States imposed stricter trade tariffs on China the eastern giant retaliated with tariff hikes of their own. Most notably, a massive import levy on the cost of American cars (and on airplanes and soybeans). That seems like it might really hurt the American automotive industry since Chinese is a massive market for motorcars. This means America will most likely lose out even more to the Europeans.
