- Kevin Hart is being sued by… the guy who crashed his own car. With him in it. Hardly seems fair, does it?
- Peugeot South Africa confirms they’ll be bringing a double cab bakkie to Mzansi. We can confirm it should arrive in 2021 and that it will share a platform with the Changan F70.
- According to anoraks, a no-deal Brexit will indeed be a major hit to the global motor industry. Disruption then, but not the good kind.
The 2020 Nissan Patrol is revealed to be a slab of off-road excellence

It also marks the vehicle’s largest and most comprehensive update in six years, if last night’s Middle East reveal is anything to go buy. As in way more comfort, safety and luxury - we’re talking diamond stitching inside, a bluff LED-laced front-end with sequential indicators at the rear – a Nissan first.
Internationally, the new Patrol will roll out in two derivatives, the Ti and Ti-L with the full raft of advanced safety aids including autonomous emergency braking (with pedestrian detection) plus blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
It still comes with the 298kW/560Nm 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine and seven-speed auto that made the Patrol such a beast to begin with. Now with every possible mod-con you could imagine including the likes of Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Did someone call the fun bus?
Hyundai Veloster N ECTR electric racer
Yes, it’s a Veloster, but not as you know it.
And I don’t mean the obvious racing addenda either, rather the electro gubbins beneath the tin. It's a product of Hyundai Motorsport, the firm's first attempt at a fully electric race car designed to compete in the Electric Touring Car Racing Series (hence ETCR).
This part is particularly exciting – it is powered from a mid-mounted electric motor, with all the shunt being sent exclusively to the rear wheels. As for official specs, that information is yet to be revealed but performance is meant to be shocking. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
