Meet the Cadillac CT5

I bet you read that five as an ess, huh, in this gorgeous wedge-shaped saloon from Cadillac?

We wouldn’t blame you for thinking this is the next generation of CTS but the American brand is quite proud of the fact that this is an all new performance saloon. Power will come from either a 2.0-litre turbo or 3.0-litre twin-turbo mill, with cogs swapped via a 10-speed automatic transmission. Together they’ll conspire to send power and torque to the rear wheels or all four, that’s RWD and 4WD configurations.

Let’s talk about a Bugatti super EV saloon

There’s been talk of calling it the Bugatti Royale and it won’t be the first car with that name.

In 1927 (some 92 years ago) the French marque produced the Type 41, better known as the Royale and it remains one of the largest cars ever made at over six metres long. This is 2020 however, and big is inefficient and so is petrol for that matter, so this car is alleged to being built upon the new Porsche Taycan EV in long wheelbase format.

A good enough base to work from, we suppose.

Elon Musk announces his favourite new project...

...with the weakest concept photo reveal in history.

Come on Tesla, don’t you know how special bakkies are to us Saffers? Sure enough, it was the recent Model Y reveal that our favourite expat described as a really futuristic-like cyberpunk Blade Runner design that might be a bit too futuristic for some.

Bentley births V8-powered twins with the Continental GT Coupe and Cabriolet

That old V12 a bit too big for you?

Bentley have got you covered with a smaller, less of cylinder version of their Continental. After deleting four cylinders you still have 405kW and 770Nm at your disposal. The 12-banger made 467kW and 900Nm. Oh well - needs must. Console yourself with the fact that the V8 will probably sound better.

Imminent metal heading for SA (and Carshop)

Next week well be test driving the new Porshe Macan, BMW 8 Series and Z4. Following that well get behind the wheel of the new Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi Triton so be sure to watch this space!
