Almost tossing out new models like Confetti, Suzuki launched the Baleno-based Fronx at the Auto Show 2023 in Delhi, India, and this model, too, is scheduled for local launch this year.
The Suzuki Fronx is a compact crossover SUV designed to meet the needs of modern families. Its styling is functional, and the aerodynamic lines give it a sporty look with the front grille and headlights inspired by Suzuki's signature design style.
The Fronx also features a panoramic sunroof that provides a spacious and airy feel to the interior. The short overhangs and high ground clearance make it a viable option for off-road adventures.
Under the hood, the Fronx boasts a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 112 kW and 190 Nm of torque. The engine pairs with a six-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The manual transmission is standard on the base model, while the CVT is available as an option. The Fronx also comes with a full-time four-wheel drive system, which provides optimal traction and handling in all road conditions.
The Fronx flaunts numerous advanced safety features, including crash bags, stability control, and anti-lock brakes. The car also contains a rear-view camera and driver assistance systems (ADAS), including lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
The interior features several storage compartments, including a centre console, door pockets, and a glove box with a 7-inch touchscreen display that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Driver assistance systems (ADAS) include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking.
Additional technology includes a 310-degree view camera system that provides a bird's-eye view of the car's surroundings, making parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces a breeze.
Suzuki will release full details of derivatives and specifications for the local versions at the launch.
