Sebastien Loeb has won nine of his WRC drivers’ with Citroen and is set to reunite with co-driver Daniel Elena, together making a once-off appearance at next year’s Rally Monte-Carlo.
Loeb’s most recent racing exploits have taken place in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in his Citroen C-Elysée WTCC car, winning two rounds of the championship and coming third overall for the 2014 season behind fellow Citroen team mate Yvan Muller. In 2013 he has also managed four wins in the FIA GT Series, racing a McLaren MP4, as well as smashing the Pike Peak record in a specially developed Peugeot 208 T16.
“Obviously, it’s going to be a personal challenge for me as I haven’t competed in a rally for over a year. A few days from now I’m going to take part in the Rallye du Var and that will give me a chance to reacquaint myself with the car”, remarked the demure Frenchman.
Catch Loeb in action from 19-25 January 2015.
