It is powered by a five-speed manual, 1,0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates 52 kW with 96 Nm torque and Renault claims the dual VVT system delivers fuel efficiency from only 5,5 l/ 100 km.
The new Triber Express – priced at R219 900 – is equipped with anti-lock brakes and EBD, along with emergency lock retractor, a Pyrotechnic pre-tensioner driver seat belt, load limiter driver and passenger seat belts, driver and passenger crash bags and a reinforced body structure.
It also has a ground clearance of 182 mm and is fitted with skid plates.
On the outside it has projector headlights, longitudinal roof rails (with a load capacity of up to 50 kg) and LED daylight running lights, while the interior of the vehicle offers storage spaces of up to 31 litres, including a centre console and lower glove box.
The rear loading bay is equipped with steel mesh for durability and enhanced safety.
Driver comforts include an infotainment system that comes integrated with R&Go radio, Bluetooth, together with USB and AUX ports.
The Renault Triber Express model comes standard with a 2-year/ 30 000 km Service Plan, plus a 5-year/150 000 km mechanical warranty and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Services take place at 15 000 km intervals.
