The limited-edition model gains red accents on the interior and exterior, with red accents, a red-themed dashboard on the inside and LED scuff plates.
“The Magnite Red Edition harnesses Nissan’s racing pedigree to make a statement in South Africa’s crossover market. We wanted to manifest our customers’ passion for adventure and thrill in the design and ignite their passion for driving. We believe the Red Edition will accelerate the already robust demand for the Magnite, with an evolved offering for young, aspirational, and tech-savvy customers,” says Stefan Haasbroek, Marketing Director at Nissan Africa.
Power comes from the same 1,0-litre turbo-charged powerplant coupled with either a CVT or manual gearbox – the same engine fitted to the other models in the range.
“With escalating fuel prices in South Africa – and around the world – drivers justifiably want more kilometres for their buck. The Magnite’s three-cylinder engine is as frugal as it is powerful, with an average fuel consumption of only 5,27 l/100 km on the Manual variant and 6,0 on the CVT models.,” adds Haasbroek.
The Magnite Red Edition also features an extensive range of driver aids, including anti-lock braking, EBD, Traction Control, Nissan’s Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, and cruise control.
Only 600 units of the Magnite Red Edition will initially be available in South Africa, with prices starting from R298 300.
