The all-new Nissan X-Trail is now available in South Africa, and it builds on a two-decade legacy, forming part of Nissan's long-standing heritage in the SUV segment.

Kabelo Rabotho, Managing Director at Nissan SA, says the X-Trail takes Nissan's family icon, which has a heritage of over 20 years and remains true to its original recipe of robust looks, advanced and efficient all-wheel-drive powertrains, and flexible practicality, enabling family adventures.

Nissan Africa's Chief Marketing Manager, Stefan Haasbroek, adds that the fourth-generation X-Trail draws from a well-established DNA that runs through all three of the previous generations and is the perfect companion for all adventures, complemented with an exciting driving experience on all terrains.

The X-Trail has three variations that drive through a CVT gearbox and utilize the same 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 135 kW and 244 Nm of torque - an increase of 9 kW and 11 Nm compared to the outgoing model. Nissan claims a top speed of 195 km/h with a combined fuel consumption of 7.4 l/100 km.

The all-wheel-drive vehicle includes technology features such as Intelligent Cruise Control, Predictive Front Collision Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Emergency Braking, and ProPilot. Inside, there is a 12.3-inch intuitive touch screen, a 10.8-inch head-up display, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster (TFT).

New Nissan X-Trail now available in South Africa

The Visia CVT starts at R649 900, the Acenta CVT at R709 900, and the Acenta Plus CVT at R759 900. All variants come standard with Nissan's 3-year/90 000 km service plan and 6-year/150 000 km mechanical warranty.
