The McLaren 600LT is the quickest, most track-oriented (yet road legal somehow) Sports Series Mac of them all, and gains that LT moniker notably denoting Long Tail.
As a result, this is a very, very special McLaren. So it makes 442kW and spins out 620Nm from its 3.8 litre twin-turbo V8, can pounce to 100kph in 2.9 seconds, or 200kph in just 8.2 seconds. Blistering pace which can extend right up till 328kph. Well, oomph.
The lower, lighter, stiffer Mac is stuck to the tar via bespoke Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R rubber, lined inside with Alcantara, and overall pays tribute to the gods of carbon fibre many times over.
Also donated to the gods of alacrity and lightness, a glove box or hidey holes in general. On that note we hope you like netting for holding onto your wallet and smartphone. I don’t think you’ll mind this omission when pushing at 10/10ths on your nearest racetrack which you’ll no doubt want to do since it does in fact come with free driver’s training. Which you’ll undoubtedly require if you have any plans to get the most out of the mighty track Mac.
With a competent driver at the wheel it will lap any circuit quicker even than the 675 LT that precedes it, despite being marginally slower in a straight line - laws of physics be damned!
Great news considering the new car is cheaper too. At around 1250kg it comes in around 100kg lighter than the Lamborghini Huracan Performante or Porsche 911 GT2 RS which really gives you an idea of what a sharp instrument the 600LT is.
