New C5 Aircross
With Advanced Comfort seats and Progressive Hydraulic Cushions within the suspension, Citroën has set out to make the new C5 Aircross one of the most comfortable cars ever. The SUV, launched in 2018, has garnered support, with 260 000 sold since then.
“The Citroën C5 Aircross has been recognised since its launch as the most comfortable and flexible SUV in its class. That serenity is now adorned with a distinctive new style making the C5 Aircross more comfortable than ever with space and modularity packaged with even more character, inside and out,” says Pierre-Yves Couineau, C5 Aircross Project Manager
From the outside, the new Citroën C5 Aircross looks to have gained some inches compared to its predecessor, with the old-round design giving way to more structured lines. The front-end styling gets a new face and displays the latest version of the Citroen chevrons.
Enough boot space for luggage
Under the grille, the new style of the air intake area visually widens the front of the C5 Aircross, and the side scoops are now open and functional to improve aerodynamics.
The side profile shows off the 230 mm ground clearance, 18-inch Pulsar wheels and the Airbumps, and a new three-dimensional LED light signature at the rear.
Interior changes see a new 10-inch touchscreen tablet ‘floating’ on the dashboard and easier access to air-conditioning controls. The air vents are now located below the screen and are more modern thanks to a new horizontal and sharp design.
In addition, the fully customisable 12-inch digital instrument panel provides a direct view of all the information essential to the driver tailored to their choice – navigation map report, information on active driving aids etc.
The Citroën Advanced Comfort seats consist of high-density foam at the core and an extra thickness of 15 mm of foam covered by the new contemporary fabric. The armrests, centre console, and dashboard have black leather-effect fabric inserts.
The suspension uses Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, exclusive to Citroën, to improve the ride quality and offer passengers a trip in absolute comfort, including the three individuals, sliding, reclining and retractable rear seats.
C5 Aircross has adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go function and Active Lane Departure Warning as part of a comprehensive safety and driver-aid package.
