Chery is adding value to the Tiggo 4 Pro model with new specifications and model adjustments. Three new models – a new Tiggo 4 Pro Urban, a new Tiggo 4 Comfort, and a top-specified Tiggo 4 Elite SE – have been added to the range under the MY2022 model code.

Less than a year after launching the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro locally, the company is adding value to the model with specification and model adjustments.

“In November this year, we will celebrate the first full year of sales, but we did not wait for this milestone to collect feedback from our customers. Instead, we have been on the road with dealers and customers to find out what they like, what they would like to change and what we could offer more,” says Tony Liu, Executive Deputy General Manager, Chery South Africa.

Three new models – a new Tiggo 4 Pro Urban, a new Tiggo 4 Comfort, and a top-specified Tiggo 4 Elite SE – have been added to the range under the MY2022 model code and will soon phase out any existing Urban, Comfort and Elite SE models.

This means the range will still consist of five distinct models, starting with a five-speed Tiggo 4 Urban and peaking at the Tiggo 4 Pro Elite SE with a nine-step CVT transmission.

The Tiggo Pro 4 Urban now gets vegan leather upholstery in place of the previous cloth and gains a central front armrest, adjustable rear headrests and an in-built coat rack.

Chery has replaced the front driver’s seat adjustment with a new six-way manual adjustment system, an addition to the Urban and Comfort trim levels.

On the safety side, Chery has boosted the number of crash bags from two to six, with the addition of front side bags for the occupants and roof-mounted side bags that run the length of the cabin. This is in concert with a new pre-tensioning system for front seatbelts and a seatbelt reminder to the front passenger seat.

The Urban specification level now also has remote locking that allows you to close all windows with a long press on the key.

“Chery’s Voice Command system has been one of the most popular features across our Tiggo Pro ranges. From asking your Chery to open the window to simply asking ‘What can you do, Chery?’, this system has been a treat for customers, and we have decided to give it as standard to all customers, including the Tiggo 4 Pro Urban entry-level model,” says Liu.

The Tiggo 4 Pro Comfort gets the same added features as the Urban, while the Elite retains all the luxuries that were standard in the SE along with a full array of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Included in the ADAS suite is a radar-guidance system that is flush-mounted in the front of the vehicle.

Using the radar and other related technology, Chery can offer features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, a Pre-Collision Warning system, and Lane-keep and Lane Departure Warning systems.

There is now a complete 310-degree around-view monitor system. The system uses a camera array to make a composite bird’s eye view of the vehicle, allowing the driver to manoeuvre in even the tightest corners safely and easily of spaces.

All Tiggo 4 Pro models are equipped with a large high-definition 10,25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto fitted as standard.

The entire Tiggo 4 Pro range also has Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity, power windows all-round, air-conditioning (climate control on the turbo-powered models) and a complete array of LED daytime running lights.
