Make way for the Isuzu MU-X
Isuzu’s take on the Trailblazer, the MU-X is officially coming to South Africa, surprising exactly nobody! Isuzu has been a beloved brand in South Africa for decades, you can thank the KB series of bakkies for that. So when the Chevrolet Trailblazer was originally brought to our sunny skies, many lamented that it didn’t have the Isuzu badge on its nose. Well lament no more as in the absence of Chevrolet, Isuzu have finally risen to the challenge of bringing us a champion to rival the Toyota Fortuner sometime later in 2018.
Audi A7 internationally launched in Cape Town
If you live in Cape Town you might have been quite perplexed to see a bunch of Audi A7 Sportbacks running around with German licence plates. There’s a great reason for that of course – we’ve been host to the worldwide release of Audi’s slipperier than before super saloon. More aggressive thanks to a lower and wider stance and more refined than ever before thanks in part to one of the finest cabin interiors in the business, the new A7 is all set to lead the segment when it launches officially in South Africa later this year.
Watch out GTI, here comes the Kia Ceed?
An emboldened KIA is set to drop a high performance Ceed GT hatchback. Remember the Ceed? We don’t blame you if you don’t, it was one of KIAs many hatchback offerings this millennium but did little to stand above its Rio and Cerato siblings. The new one however promises a bit of a stylistic re-imagining, and even gets its own ‘hot version’, with a GT derivative promising VW Golf GTI baiting performance. Let’s file this one under ‘wait and see’.
