Two new M cars this way come
I’m not sure who asked for this, but the BMW X4 and X3 are both receiving bonafide M derivatives. Details for the X3 M and X4 M are thin on the ground but you can expect a turbo’d 3.0-litre inline six with power in excess of 330kW.
But wait, there’s more. Sort of…
This is the hottest X2 yet – the BMW X2 M35i with 225kW and 450Nm. That means your stylish little mud-plugger will now do the 0-100kph in under 5 seconds. Wow, that’s even quicker than a fully electric Mercedes SUV with a funny name. Speaking of which...
Meet the Mercedes-Benz EQC
It’s a cross-over SUV with a funny name, so nothing crazy so far. It weighs 2,250kg and a lot of that is batteries since the car is fully electric. That means it will face off (and it is arguably an odd face) against the Jaguar I-Pace and Audi E-Tron eventually.
In terms of size, it is roughly the dimensions of the Merc’s own GLC but from its electric gubbins will generate 300kW and 765Nm. This should make it good for many things, such as sprinting to 100kph in just 5.1 seconds and endow it with a 450km range. These will be mutually exclusive of course. The EQC is due to light up our roads as soon as 2020 so... wunderbar!
This re-imagined Delta Integrale is the hottest thing you’ll see today
This is the Lancia Delta Futurista by Automobili Amos and clearly, they have restomodded the classic Integrale into pure pornography.
Look, it’s over R5mil so maybe let’s get that out of the way because you’re not going to buy one. You’re just not. But look at it! At around 1250kg and with circa 250kW at its disposal, this aluminium bullet from the late 80s draws inspiration and kudos from the Group B rally cars. Sadly only 20 have been breathed into life.
Lambo crash, caught on video
Sheena Monk was the unfortunate pilot of this Lamborghini Super Trofeo race car from this weekend. We’re glad to hear she’s doing okay.
