Luxury Toyota Quantum

We've trawled the internet for the latest motoring news so that you don't need to. Enjoy!

Snippets:

  • Vettel pips Leclerc to his first GP win in 13 months. Hamilton not happy. Sky is blue. Water is wet.
  • Is BMW eyeing Jaguar Land Rover? Not as far as we know, but pundits agree it should make a ton of sense. And money.
  • Porsche have increased their stake in Rimac to 15.5%, that's the Croatian electric supercar manufacturer. This just after launching its Taycan EV.
  • VWSA officially launches their new baby SUV, the T-Cross.
  • Mercedes-Benz rumoured to be considering the A45 AMG engine for larger RWD saloons and coupes.

Mercedes-Benz Vision Simplex Concept

We love crazy concepts. Here's one now. Meet the Mercedes-Benz Vision Simplex Concept, a piece of sculpted art meant to embody the heritage (and future) of Mercedes-Benz.

It symbolises the transition from old to new for the German marque's design and technology. That and clearly an homage to the history and legacy of the brand, plus a dof of its hat at the recollection that well over a century ago it was quite the pioneer.

"Only a brand that is as strong as Mercedes-Benz is capable of the physical symbiosis of history and future. The "Vision Mercedes Simplex" symbolises the transformation of the brand-specific luxury of Mercedes-Benz", says Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener.

We reckon it's quite exciting in a futuristic quasi horse-buggy sort of way, too.

Meanwhile 'watch out Mercedes', Toyota launches luxury Quantum

It's the Quantum VX luxury model and oh my, there's plenty of reason here for the V-Class to be shaking in its premium boots.

I mean, just look at it, a posh rectangle loaded with chrome accents and enough technology and equipment to make the USS Enterprise blush. And you'd expect no less from a Japanese MPV in 2019, with a gratuitously appointed cabin to rival what you'd find in a Tokyo penthouse. But for a tenth of the price which Toyota have managed to keep far south of a million. Good.

Spec and Pricing:
