While South African business and fleet operators have had exposure to only two generations of the Renault Trafic panel van, the latest version is the fourth generation of the workhorse, with 2.2 million sales in 50 countries since its launch.
The version features an updated, robust, and dynamic front face with full LED lights as standard. Moreover, the completely redesigned cabin is a comfortable, ergonomic cockpit and a connected mobile office. It features a new dashboard and offers 84,8 litres of storage capacity.
The more horizontal hood and vertical grille are highlighted by full LED headlights and a redesigned bumper, with a new radio antenna, new 16-inch wheels and more elegant wheel covers.
The New Trafic offers power-adjustable mirrors, comfortable upholstery, and new door panels with wider armrests. By folding down the backrest on the middle seat, the cabin turns into a mobile office, with enough space for a laptop and an A4-size swivel stand to easily hold any working documents.
The infotainment system comes integrated with R&Go radio and Bluetooth, with USB and AUX ports.
The Trafic hauls its body through a 2,0-litre turbo-diesel engine which mates to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It gains power and more torque and boasts ECO Mode for improved fuel efficiency.
This Long Wheelbase version offers a load length of 4,15 metres. Using the zoning mode of the key, the driver can choose to lock/unlock the cabin or the loading area. For light deliveries or tool retrieval, the load area comes with one sliding door (left) and two expandable swing swivel rear doors, within 2-mode options - 90° and 180°.
The New Trafic offers a cargo volume of 8,9 sq/m.
It comes standard with a 5-year/ 90 000 km Service Plan, a 5-year/150 000 km mechanical warranty and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Services take place at 15 000 km intervals.
