Under the bonnet, a dual-clutch EDC gearbox, mated with a 4-cylinder 1,8-litre high-performance turbo engine, enables the power output of 221 kW at 6 000 r/min, with 420 NM torque at 3 200 r/min. Renault also claims top speed at 260 km/h, with 0 to 100 km/h reached in 5,7 seconds.

Stopping power is provided by bi-material front brakes with distinct red Brembo callipers, while the Cup chassis boasts stiffer suspension with a Torsen mechanical limited-slip differential.

At low speeds, the 4Control system turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front wheels. At speeds of over 60 km/h (100 km/h in Race mode), all four wheels turn in the same direction, ensuring optimised road-holding.
