1) Aston Martin Lagonda Vision Concept
Well done Aston, you’ve created a car too far-out even for Ridley Scott. Bonus thing about the Vision Concept, it’s bloody massive.
2) Audi e-Tron Concept
We’re not accusing Audi of having low confidence, but when you roll out a concept car to a massive motoring show and leave it under camouflage, that says something, right?
3) Hyundai Le Fil Rouge Concept
Picture this. A 250kph cheese grater. Did Hyundai get close with the front of their Le Fil Rouge? From every other angle however, mostly a master stroke.
4) KIA Ceed Sportswagon
Sadly not many of us South Africans like station wagons but if we did we’d have them from every manufacturer under the sun. Like this one from KIA. This is why we can’t have nice things.
5) Range Rover SV Coupe
Imagine a super luxurious, highly practical full-sized SUV. Now remove the practical part. Ok, you too have designed the SV Coupe. We shouldn’t like this but we do.a
6) Lexus UX
Imagine a Lexus that broke the mould, that looked like nothing we’ve seen before. Now keep imagining because this; the UX isn’t it, rather a stylish BMW X2 rival.
7) Nissan iMX Kuro Concept
Step inside Nissan’s electric dream, a dynamic wedge with styling that outdoes the Toyota C-HR and features something called B2V – that’s brain to vehicle technology. Just wow!
8) Pininfarina HK GT Concept
Here it is, the Eco-sustainable GT concept car nobody asked for but now probably wants. Well, it’s not like Pininfarina was going to build an ugly car?
9) Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Concept
Finally, a Panamera in wellies. The well-lit press photography on this was great but seen in the metal it does look a bit awkward. Sorry Porsche.
10) Renault EZ-GO Concept
Don’t think of it as a car at all, rather an autonomous room on wheels, that you’ll be able to share with strangers in the future. Not unlike an Uber.
11) SsangYong-e-SIV EV Concept
A great EV effort from the lesser spotted South Korean purveyor of SUVs, definitely not SIV.
12) Subaru VIZIV Tourer Concept
Mind you don’t cut yourself on those sharp style lines seen here on what we like to call the Outback of the future.
13) Tata EVision Concept
Well, this looks NOTHING like the Polestar 1. Snarkiness aside, nice job Tata.
14) New Toyota Auris
Because it takes some balls launching a new Auris at a time when everyone else is doing hyper-EV-supersports unobtanium.
15) Volkswagen Sedric School Bus Concept
Think magic school bus on ‘shrooms and you’re halfway there. Curiously VW is not the first manufacturer to call their car a Cedric.
